Bali’s tourism industry is showing encouraging signs of growth, with international visitor arrivals increasing year-on-year for three consecutive months. The positive figures suggest that the island continues to attract travelers from around the world.
Three Consecutive Months of Growth
According to tourism arrival figures, Bali recorded year-on-year increases in international visitors during July, August, and September 2026.
September welcomed approximately 650,169 international visitors, representing a 2.36% increase compared with the same month in 2025. This followed approximately 697,809 visitors in July and 685,994 in August.
Although monthly arrivals fluctuated, the continued year-on-year growth is an encouraging sign for Bali’s tourism sector as the island moves toward the end of the year.
International Connections Support Tourism
Improved international flight connections and major events have helped support Bali’s appeal as a global holiday destination. Convenient air connections make it easier for visitors to reach the island, whether they are planning a short holiday, an extended stay, or a return visit.
Bali continues to attract a wide range of international travelers, from couples and families to retirees and visitors looking for a longer-term lifestyle in Indonesia.
A Positive Outlook for Visitors and Local Businesses
Tourism remains an important part of Bali’s economy, supporting employment and businesses throughout the island. Continued international interest can benefit accommodation providers, restaurants, transportation companies, tour operators, and local communities.
For travelers considering a visit, Bali’s continued popularity reflects the island’s enduring appeal: its welcoming hospitality, cultural attractions, tropical scenery, and variety of accommodation and lifestyle options.
As the year progresses, the latest arrival figures offer a positive indication that Bali remains firmly on the international travel map.
