Bali continues to show strong tourism demand, with between 19,000 and 24,000 international visitors arriving on the island every day throughout 2026.
Bali Governor Wayan Koster says the steady flow of foreign tourists is supporting hotels, restaurants, travel companies and small businesses across the island.
Thousands of International Visitors Arrive Every Day
Governor Koster said Bali is currently welcoming between 19,000 and 24,000 international tourists every day, describing the number as stable throughout 2026.
That is an important sign for Bali’s tourism industry. It means visitors continue to arrive in large numbers even after the island faced challenges earlier this year, including temporary difficulties with fuel distribution.
According to Koster, those challenges were successfully managed without creating a lasting negative impact on tourist arrivals.
“Currently, foreign tourists visiting Bali—I have daily data of 19,000 to 24,000 per day, stable.”
Bali Hotels Are More Than 90 Percent Full
Perhaps even more encouraging for Bali’s tourism industry is the performance of the island’s hotels.
Koster said hotel occupancy is now above 90 percent, with particularly strong demand being seen at higher-end and luxury hotels.
Strong hotel occupancy also means more activity for restaurants, transportation companies, tour operators and the many small businesses that depend on tourism.
As Koster put it, “The hotels are full, the restaurants are busy, the MSMEs are developing, and the travel businesses are active. The entire chain is moving.”
Bali Tourism by the Numbers
19,000–24,000 — International visitors arriving in Bali each day
90%+ — Hotel occupancy reported by the governor
7.05 million — International visitors to Bali in 2025
9.3 million — Domestic tourists visiting Bali in 2025
Rp600 billion — Increase in regional revenue compared with the same period in 2025
Tourism Continues to Drive Bali’s Economy
Tourism is much more than hotels and beaches. Every visitor to Bali contributes to a much larger network of businesses.
Visitors spend money on accommodation, restaurants, transportation, tours, shopping and local services. That spending then supports thousands of businesses and workers throughout the island.
Koster said Bali’s tourism-based economy provides benefits across the island because tourism activity is spread among many different types of businesses and communities.
Tourism Revenue Is Also Rising
The strong visitor numbers are also being reflected in Bali’s regional revenue.
Koster said that by October 22, 2026, regional revenue had increased by approximately Rp600 billion compared with the same period in 2025.
Hotels and restaurants are among the businesses contributing to this increase, providing another indication that tourism activity remains strong across the island.
A Positive Outlook for Bali Visitors
For tourists considering a trip to Bali, the latest figures provide an encouraging picture of the island’s tourism industry.
International arrivals remain strong, hotels are reporting high occupancy, restaurants are busy and tourism-related businesses continue to benefit from visitor spending.
With the busy Christmas and New Year travel period approaching, Bali is entering the final months of 2026 with strong tourism momentum.
Bali’s Tourism Momentum Continues
The message from Bali’s latest tourism figures is clear: visitors are continuing to come, hotels are filling up and tourism is generating economic activity throughout the island.
Governor Koster said maintaining a safe and comfortable environment will be essential to keeping that momentum going.
If current trends continue, Bali could finish 2026 with another strong year for international tourism and an even stronger foundation heading into 2027.
